Autumn Leaves

Autumn Sentiment

Tiffany Doodles
Crafting for All Seasons is currently offering an Autumn challenge using the palette provided below:

For my design team inspirational card, I used our sponsor's Autumn Sentiment Digital Stamp, by Tiffany Doodles. The single large leaf was colored with Spectrum Noir Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender Marker. The small leaf was left as a line drawing for contrast. The background of the card is made up from bits and pieces of digikits and merged with the stamped image in the Craft Artist 2 program.

I hope this Autumn card will inspire you to enter your own creation in the Crafting for All Seasons challenge.

Groovy Girl Visits England

Groovy Girl
Me along side Union Jack.
Last month for my inspirational card as a member of the Cute as a Button Design Team, I told you about my trip to Paris. After touring the sights of that great city, my husband Sandy and I flew to the UK. Here we again took in all the sights including: Tower of London, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus.
Our hotel...Royal Garden Hotel
What should we do first?
Buckingham Palace
Queen Victoria Memorial
Tower of London
Tower Bridge
Mounted Trooper of the Household Cavalry
St. Martin-in-the Fields Church
Should we go by Underground or bus?
Another reason to visit the UK was to meet my husband's British relatives, in Black, England. We drove from London to Blackpool and met with the family, including two little girls. We also got to tour this seaside resort out of season, as it was fall.

Sandy's great aunt
Phone booth and grocery store on the block where my husband's great aunt lived in Blackpool.
The Headlands Hotel, where we stayed in Blackpool.
Blackpool Resort
Blackpool Tower
I picked the Groovy Girl image for my inspirational card because she is who I thought I was back in 1971! In this scene, she is back in London today! Check out the picture of me between two of the famous Beefeaters guarding the Tower of London!

Groovy Girl is a Cut as a Button image by Artist Francesca Lopez, She creates wonderful images to be used by card-makers and scrapbook hobbyists.

The Groovy Girl image was colored using Spectrum Noir Pencils and a blender marker. A scene from the Craftscapes London Landmarks digikit was merged with the colored image in the Craft Artist 2 program.

I hope my work has inspired you to enter a challenge or two sponsored by Cute as a Button. You can share your projects at Cute as a Button Facebook Group.
There is a "Harvest/Thanksgiving," challenge you should enter at Cute as a Button.

Archie Visits the Villages in Florida

Archie
Rick St. Dennis
I couldn't wait to put this Rick St. Dennis image of Archie into a scene on one of my cards! My husband Sandy and I took a road trip to the Villages an active adult retirement community, here in Florida. We were interested in seeing the Eisenhower Regional recreational Center located in the Village of Brownwood. Besides the usual activity rooms, courts and pool, the building houses a large collection of military items and memorabilia donated by Villagers. Many items on display had belonged to Dwight D. Eisenhower, whose portraits hang on the wall at the recreation center named in his honor.

I colored Archie with Prismacolor Pencils and merged the image with a color sketched background of a village scene by my husband Sandy Brooke, using the Craft Artist 2 program.

I hope you plan to enter our challenge at Crafty Girlz, sponsored by Rick St. Dennis.

Waiting for Santa

Waiting for Santa

Good morning, There's a new challenge at Crafting from the Heart and the sponsor is DeeDee's Digis.
I chose Waiting for Santa for my design team inspirational car. This is just perfect to add new cards to my collection. It is a bundle with many images; a boy, a girl, pre-color and just lines.
For the first card, I colored the boy with Spectrum Noir Pencils and merged it with a My Craft Studio background in the Craft Artist 2 program.

For the second card, I also colored the girl with Spectrum Noir Pencils, but I used the Craft Artist 2 program to put a print in her nightie and then merged it with that same My Craft Studio background in the Craft Artist 2 program.

Faes by Morgan

Fae 9

Morgan's Artworld

Winter Fae
I chose to make two cards for the current Simply Papercrafts design team challenge. I chose Fae 9 from Morgan's Artworld for the first. I colored this beautiful young fairy with Prismacolor Pencil and a Prismacolor Blender Marker. She was merged with a lovely lacy frame in the Craft Artist 2 program.

My second card, also has an image from Morgans Artworld. Winter Fae was colored using Prismacolor Pencils and a bit of metallic Gelly Roll Pens. The hood and sleeve cuffs were filled in with Ice Stickles Glitter Glue. I found a starry sky on a My Craft Studio disc and printed it. I cut around the colored image after the glitter glue dried. I layered the two on top of a base card and added a sentiment that was originally cut on the Cuttlebug Machine, some time ago.

I hope my cards will inspire you to take part in the current challenge over at Simply Papercrafts where anything goes. Sponsored by Morgan's Artworld.
