Two Pages Six Widdle Women

These six women are from tutorials in Karen Campbell's book, "Whimsical Watercolor and How to Draw Series Widdle Women Edition Book 1."

For these two pages of women I used Fabriano hot press watercolor paper. The girls were drawn using a Graphgear 1000 Pentel Pencil. I added shadow with a Blackwing-Matte Pencil and a blending stump. I painted them with an assortment of palettes from Prima and Jane Davenport. I used Molotow Blackliners for their outlines and for small colorful detail I used Master's Touch Fineliner Markers. Highlights were done with a Gelly Roll Pen. There are detailed suggestions of what to use for the girls, but Karen also says use what you have!

I followed Karen's step by step details for the women, who's names are Adorable Ali, Lil ol' Linda, Giddy-Up Gail, Sweet Sara, Bookworm Wendy, Quiet Quinn. They were so much fun to work on. I'll be back to paint more girls from this fabulous book.
