Chickadee in Watercolor

This Chickadee painting was a great gift for my husband Sandy, who loves to photograph birds. It's from a tutorial by Sarah Cray for Let's Make Art.

I used my light pad to transfer the outline to my Canson 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper.

I followed Sarah Cray's wet into wet technique with my Winsor Newton Cotman watercolor tubes. Later, I made changes of my own to this lovely piece. I know my husband loves the painting, I gave it to him as an early gift!
