This "Dark Skin Mermaid," from a tutorial by Lucy Brydon for Awesome Art School.
I tried to follow Lucy's drawing and coloring instructions with alcohol markers, but it didn't work for me. I used her reference and traced it as was provided, onto my Canson XL Watercolor Book. I had fun doing a watercolor interpretation of Lucy's marker piece. I used two Prima sets: Complexion and Currents and a Gansai Gem Colors set from Kuretake. I also used white Holbein Arts' Gouache and a Micron Pen for outlines and the details.
Playing with the metallic colors and the normal watercolors was so fun to do! I do love that this piece came out as well as it has!
