Mushroom Houses in Watercolor

 

 

I enjoyed the Mushroom House live tutorial by Karen Campbell's for Awesome Art School so much, that I wanted to do another. So I went on Pinterest to see if there were any Mushroom House tutorials and there were plenty! The one I liked the most is from Rainbow Parrot Art on YouTube. She gave step by step instruction for a beautiful marker colored Mushroom House scene.

I drew a version of the Rainbow Parrot Art tutorial with my Graphgear 1000 Pentel Pencil, on my Canson XL watercolor book. I added what I learned from Karen's lesson and others that I worked on my own. Using a couple of Prima Paint sets, I worked on this scene. I used a white Gelly Roll Pen for highlights and I added some black lines with a Micron Pen.

I love my finished scene and noticed how well the additional techniques I've learned, make my piece stand out.
