I was waiting for Hurricane Milton to pass by, so I went online to look for some gouache tutorials and found Melanie. Her "Visual Mind," channel displays a variety of art pieces.
I fell in love with one exceptional piece. I followed a magical Halloween themed scene using gouache and watercolors. I drew my own basic outline on an Arches cold press watercolor block using a Pentel Graphgear 1000 mechanical pencil.
I've never considered using these two water based mediums together, but love the look! I began by using Prima Watercolors and the added layers of guoache in these brands: Areteza, Winsor Newton and Holbein.
I enjoyed the challenge of this piece and love how surreal it looks now that it's done!
