I was looking forward to this month's Brain Stretcher tutorial by Karen Campbell. I had decided this will be a watercolor painting that I follow the tutorial. I did not attempt to draw the cat freehand. Although I did take liberties in his attire. I looked over the photos Karen provided for ideas. I did use a circle template for the many circle decorations.
The cat started off in graphite using assorted pencils. I painted the cat with Jane Davenport watercolors and I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White for highlights. I used a couple of different size Molotow Backliner Pens for outlines and the additional details and patterns.
Working this cat was fun, seeing how everything came together so well!
