Galaxy Forest in Watercolor

This "Galaxy Forest," watercolor painting is from a tutorial by Sarah Cray for Let's Make Art. Sarah has several books out. The origin of this tutorial is in one of those. The outline for the trees in this painting is there. I don't own the book, but Sarah described how to draw those trees at the bottom of the painting.

My painting was done on Canson 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper with Jane Davenport watercolors.

I enjoyed working on the steps leading to this finished piece.

Wow, such a stunning painting. Your watercolouring is so beautiful. I love the point of view with the trees and the stars. Your artwork really reminds me a little of the Northern Lights in Norway.
Thank you so much for joining the current Everybody-Art-Challenge.
