The Mousehole Gift Shop

This watercolor line and wash is from a tutorial by Paul Clark. The gift shop is in Cornwall, UK. If you look it up you will find it's pronunciation differently than you would expect!

I transferred the outline onto my Arches cold press watercolor block using a sheet of graphite paper. The line and details were done using a Micron pen. Before I painted this scene, I covered the wording on the building with Miskit Frisket by Grumbacker. I painted with Winsor Newton Cotman tube colors and added highlights with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White.

I enjoy painting with line and wash and using old English scenes is wonderful to work on.
