Seascape with People

This seascape was a bit harder to work on, but eventually it worked well. It's from a tutorial by Paul Clark. I had a problem with the tree, but after awhile I worked on it, doing some additional fullness and some more color.

I used Winsor Newton Cotman watercolor tubes on an Arches 140 lb. watercolor cold press block. I used Holbein Artists white gouache for the highlights on the folks enjoying their afternoon.

I enjoyed the challenge of this painting and will be working on many more.

Beautiful and serene waterfront scene. Love the couple relaxing on the bench taking in the lovely surroundings. Your watercolor paintings are amazing. Thanks for sharing at 613 Avenue Create's April Anything Goes with a Rain Twist.
