Manarola Village Loose Line and Wash

As much as I enjoy bright colors and ocean landscapes, I could not say the same about my own work on this painting. Although I am pleased with the finished piece, I found this very challenging.

This is a loose style watercolor of Manarola Village from a tutorial by The Art Sherpa, Cinnamon Cooney. I did change the sky in the painting to a cloudy blue.

I transferred the outline using my light pad to the watercolor paper. I went over my pencil lines with Micron Pens (03 and 05).

I used Winsor Newton Cotman watercolor tubes on Canson 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. I also enhanced the areas around the banks with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White.
