I was looking for something new and fun to do, when I realized I have a set of metallic watercolors, that I have yet to try out! Those paints, black watercolor paper (Legion Stonehenge cold press) and a pencil (watercolor or regular) was all I needed to follow two tutorials (Metallic Swan, Metallic Bubbles) by Sarah Cray. I used Artist Loft Metallic Watercolors, which I hadn't tried yet and when I did, it came out of the tube separated. So maybe they don't last too long, but I mixed each with a bit of water and they worked for these projects.
I really love the swan and might be tempted to paint another!
Have some fun and give it a try!
