Jeannie's visit to Arabia |
While coloring Jeannie by Francesca Lopez for Cute as a Button, I remembered dressing like this in 2007, while performing in a local production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat." I had two costumes for that show. One covered me from head to toe as Joseph's Jewish traditional family. The other was that of an Arab belly dancer. I had a second dancer costume to wear to a masquerade party that same month. Here are a couple of fun pictures from those days.

A seam had popped on my costume and my friend Vicki was doing her best to fix it!
Yup, that's me at home in my belly dance costume! |

I used Prismacolor Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender to color Jeannie. Jeannie and my husband's color sketched background were merged in the Craft Artist 2 program.
I hope my work has inspired you to work on your card and maybe reminded you of some fun memories!

I don't know if this will be lost in translation but as we Brits say 'You scrub up well'. Great photos Carla, you look lovely. xx
Very cute card!!!
Wow Carla she looks just like you. Your colouring is gorgeous and wow you have the most gorgeous hair and look so radiant in your belly dancing outfit.
