Two Witches in Watercolor

These "Two Witches," are from a tutorial on YouTube by Karen Campbell owner of Awesome Art School.

Karen demonstrated how to paint fabrics with two different kinds of watercolor paints. These were Prima and Kuretake. Prima is an American Company but manufactures their watercolors in Italy. Kuretake is owned and manufactures in Japan.

Karen designed two witches to use for the demonstration, as coloring pages. I printed them and transferred their images to Fabriano Hot Press 140 lb. watercolor paper. I followed Karen by picking out two shades of green for each witch, trying to duplicate Karen's work.

Prima watercolors are translucent but can be opaque. Kuretake watercolors are creamy and opaque.

I enjoyed the challenge of working on both of these witches in the different watercolor paint sets.
