This handsome Pirate is from a Brain Stretch by Karen Campbell for Awesome Art School. I drew this fellow using a Graphgear 1000 Pentel Mechanical Pencil and a Blackwing Matte Pencil. The drawing is on Strathmore recycled drawing paper. I used a Vanish Eraser and blending stump for shading.
A dot in each eye with a Sharpie Creative Marker, works for the two highlights.
This drawing was most certainly a challenge, I'm so happy to have worked on it!
