This is Karen Campbell's "Dark Skin Mermaid," from her Utube channel. She taught mixing watercolor paints for dark skin tones from Polina Bright's ebook. Karen created an adorable mermaid which I drew in my Canson XL watercolor book, using a Graphgear 1000 Pentel pencil.
I used Prima watercolor paint sets including Complexion. I gave her a bit of rosy cheeks with a Prismacolor Pencil, details and outlines were done with a black Faber-Castel Pitt Artist Pen. I used a white Gell Pen for highlights.
I loved blending the watercolors for this mermaid!
