This Gray Toned Girl is from a two part tutorial and review by Karen Campbell. She was supposed to be the cover girl on Karen's "How to Draw Fun Fab Faces Book. It's a free lesson on YouTube.
It's no problem at all following this artist drawing these delightful faces in the first video. In the second video Karen adds the alcohol markers, which in this case were supposed to bw gray tones by Tombow (Full Product Review). She did a wonderful job with the review although the markers left a lot to be desired!
I used Copic Markers which Karen and I both love. Trouble was my Copic Markers are old and even though I refill them, the lighter grays needed several layers in the girl's face. Instead of lines across that did not blend, I did layers of small circle. I'm happy that this technique worked well with this girl.
