Rosetta Fairy in Watercolor

This is Rosetta Fairy from a tutorial by Karen Campbell for Awesome Art School. I've always loved red hair. In the summers when I was a kid, the sun bleached my hair and years later, I dyed my hair on purpose.

I painted this fairy with Jane Davenport watercolor tubes on Canson 140 lb. watercolor paper. I used a Micron 01 pen for the lines and a Gelly Roll 08 for the highlights.

Rosetta was so fun to paint!

Gorgeous drawing. I love the movement of the hair that you've created with those waves and those colourful wings are awesome. Thanks for joining us at A Place To Start. Hugs, María.

P.S. The Fairy and The Unicorn challenge blog is all about fantasy characters and creatures. We're more than fairies and unicorns so our name is changing in January (Heart's Quest Fantasy challenge blog). We will still use the "TFATU" blog address for 2024 and TFATU title will still appear in the blog badge/banner for this coming year as well. I would love for you to check it out. Especially if you enjoy fantasy. I also posted a design team call announcement post a few days ago in case you would be interested in that. --Becca
