Two Dragonflies

This design was inspired from a Dragonfly tutorial by Sarah Cray for Let's Make Art.  I used my light pad to transfer the outline to a postcard. I used Winsor Newton Cotman watercolor tubes to follow this tutorial. The image was painted on a Winsor Newton watercolor postcard.

For the second Dragonfly, I enlarged th outline and used Saral Transfer Paper to place it on the black Stonehenge 140 lb. coldpress watercolor paper. Instead of the vain lines on the outline, I drew design lines with a white Faber-Castell watercolor pencil. I painted inside of the shapes with Fine-Tec Pearlescent watercolors and finished the painting off using a black Posca Pen around the shapes.
