Magical Mermaid Doll 2 Card

https://www.mybestiesshop.com/store/p9578/Magical_Mermaid_Instant_Download_Digi_Stamp_~__%22_Mermaid_Doll_2_by_The_Artist_Sherri_Baldy_____.html
This is the second card this month, made with my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter in mind. She will love getting it from her playhouse mailbox!

I chose to use the My Besties Magical Mermaid Doll 2 image. With that scepter in her hand she seems to be the mermaid queen! I colored the image with Copic Markers and cut her out. I cut a small grey castle on my Cricut Machine. I also cut 2 circles to form a ship's porthole using my We R Memory Keepers Cicrle Spin & Trim.

I designed a background on one circle using My Gel Press Printing Plate, some texture tools and three colors of acrylic paint. I adhered each circle, the castle and mermaid to a basic card and added dots of Ice Glace Stickles Glitter Glue.

My granddaughter will love this card.

Happy Birthday Scenic Card

I was busy all morning working on this adorable Digi Doodle Stamp and card. Travis is blowing his horn to wish happy birthday as he marches down the lane. He is colored with Copic markers and the Heartfelt Creations background is painted with my new watercolor set. I cut the music notes on my Cricut and I had a die to use for the happy birthday in my Cuddlebug Machine.

Magical Mermaid 1 Card

https://www.mybestiesshop.com/store/p9577/Magical_Mermaid_Instant_Download_Digi_Stamp_~__%22_Mermaid_Doll_1_by_The_Artist_Sherri_Baldy_____.html

We haven't seen our grandchildren in person for several months and really miss them. A visit is planned, but in the meantime our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves to get mail addressed to her, in her box attached to her playhouse.

Since she loves the "Little Mermaid" movie and has a dress with the redhead printed on it, sending a mermaid card is the perfect theme.

The background for this card was printed on my Gelli Plate using a stencil and several colors of acrylic paint. I printed the sentiment and cut it with a die in my Cuttlebug Machine. I placed adhesive squares on the back. These were adhered to a square basic card.

This mermaid was pieced. I printed this cutie twice, once on marker paper and once on printed paper. I cut her tail out from the print paper and glued it to the image on the marker paper. I colored the My Bestie digital stamp (Magical Mermaid Doll 1) using Copic Markers where I needed to. Then I cut her out and used adhesive squares to adhere her on top of this colorful card.

Making a Few Masks

One day in early June a group of Glorious Victorians took to the streets of St. Augustine. These fun loving men and women dressed in Victorian finery, were lead by Dianne Strum Thompson Jacoby. They promenaded throughout the Ancient City with enthusiasm and displayed their passion for this period in history.
Although Victorians didn't actually wear masks, masks were worn during the Spanish flue pandemic of 1918. These current Victorians were prepared with mask, citing today's health issues. I was so sorry not to have participated in the promenade that evening, but I do have a mask ready in case I do in the future. This pattern is from a tutorial on YouTube from Shabby Fabrics. I made this in a medium with 7" elastics. I used muslin fabric and put lace on the upper curved edge.

Here are two more pink masks and one for my husband, who wants to add a smile to his!
