New Watercolor Pencils Blend with the Old!

DeeDee's Digis, Bloom and Grow
Isn't getting new art supplies exciting! I can't wait to see what they all can do! I have new Faber-Castell, Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils! I do own an 8 pencil set of Faber-Castell basic watercolor pencils and now I have 12 more. For this project, I combined the 2 sets. The pink is ECO Aquarela #028 nd I used Deep Scarlet Red #8200-219 to blend the two for the darks and lights. The leaf was done in ECO Aquarela green #063, emerald green #8200-163 nd  bit of cadmium yellow #820-107 to add some additional light on the leaf. As you can see the two sets complement each other.

Additional Materials:
Water container
Water brush
White card stock
Solid colored card stock
Print card stock
Craft glue
Card base

For the card, I follow the same mounting procedure at my recent watercolor tutorial.
1)  Cut around the flower leaving a white border.
2)  Glue to a print card stock.
3)  Cut around the flower leaving a print border.
4)  Glue solid card stock to white card base.
5)   Glue flower to card.

See you next time, when I try out some more of my new supplies!

I entered this mini art pieces in the challenge at World Wide Open Design Team Challenge:
