Skin Tone in Mixed Media

Karen Campbell and Lucy Brydon gave a bonus project to students of Awesome Art School. Fortunately there was as always a video to watch at a later date.

Students transferred this female profile onto watercolor paper. I used Cansen XL cold press 140 lb. I followed both teachers as they worked on their own interpretation of this face.

I used two Prima Paletts: Complexion and Currents and a Winsor and Newton Cotman Portrait watercolor set. I used a Pentel Arts Pocket Pen for her eye make-up and a Gelly Roll Pen for highlights.

This piece was a challenge and I look forward to when Lucy gives a presentation on the forward facing female.
