Light Skin Tones in Watercolor

I couldn't  wait for my new Art Philosophy Watercolor Complexion paint set to be delivered. When it did arrive one color was missing. I got in touch with the seller and a week later a new set arrived with the correct colors.

The following day I began my new project with light watercolor skin tones. I transferred this lovely girl's face on to Canson 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper and followed a tutorial by Karen Campbell for Awesome Art School.

Besides the new paint set, I used Molotow Blackliners and Gelly Roll Pen for lines and highlights. I used Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils for the eyes and did the hair with Jane Davenport Watercolors.

I followed Karen and I'm so happy with the resulting portrait.
