Cruella in Copic Marker

 

I'm happy to introduce Cruella. She's from an outstanding step by step tutorial by Karen Campbell for Awesome Art School. This was a bonus lesson for members of the Fun Fab Drawing Club. There is a fun mixed media tutorial for all, but I chose to do this Speakeasy Girl (cross over lesson) in Copic Markers on Bristol paper.

I followed Karen using a Graphicgear 1000 Pentel Mechanical pencil and covered those pencil lines with Molotow Blackliner Pens. I put the white highlights in with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White. Cruella has silver trim on her dress and in the flower in her hair done with a Posca pen.

I love how Cruella came out, but I was so sorry she was unhappy! So to give her a more cheerful outlook, I turned the two ends of her mouth line up!
