This mixed media owl was inspired by a tutorial from Tamara Laporte. I copied the line drawing using my Graphgear 1000 Pentel mechanical pencil onto Fabriano 140 lb. hot press watercolor paper. I began following Tamara as she brings her colorful owl into the light. Eventually, began to put my own ideas into this owl drawing. I used Jane Davenport watercolors, a Posca Pen and Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White.
I loved working on this bird and enhancing it with additional lines and color.
