This mixed media watercolor painting is from a tutorial by Paul Clark.
I transferred the outline Paul Clark provided onto my Arches cold press watercolor black using a sheet of graphite paper. I painted the scene using Winsor Newton Cotman tube colors, with the addition of a pastel chalk pencil and some chalk pastels for detail and highlights.
Although this piece was a challenge, I totally enjoyed it and love the finished piece. It was very hard to photograph and get the colors right!

ReplyDeleteSuch a soothing scene. It looks like a place one would go to be alone and decompress. Thanks for sharing with us at A Place to Start!
