Fairy Queen Pencil and Watercolor Wash

I'm taking a four day fun art party course from Karen Campbell at her Awesome Art School, online. This Fairy Queen was such fun to work on. Thru a series of videos, Karen showed how to draw and shade this lovely queen.

I drew my Fairy Queen on a 5x7" hot press New York Central Watercolor Block. I used #2 pencil to draw the elements of the face and a Generals 6B soft pencil along with a blending stump to do the shading. I painted the face with Jane Davenport watercolor washes.

I'm very happy with this drawing and look forward to show off more of these wonderful tutorials.
