This Pheasant watercolor is from a tutorial by Paul Clark.
I used my light pad to transfer the outline of the bird to my Canson 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. I painted this bird using Winsor Newton Cotman watercolor tubes. I used salt in the wet paint to provide texture to the background. I used Grumbacher Miskit to mask the grass, while I painted shadows. The painting was enhanced with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof white.
