Parrot Line and Wash

Here's my Parrot Line and Wash from a tutorial by Paul Clark. It was fun and an opportunity to experiment with wet-in-wet. You had to put down the color quickly and in doing so I lost a bit of the yellow.

This bird is painted on Canson 140 lb. watercolor paper, using Winsor Newton Cotman tubes. The Bombay black India Ink was applied first  with a dip pen. Salt and a white chalk pencil enhanced the painting.
