Baseball Birthday

Imagine That is the current sponsor of the challenge at Crafting from the Heart. When you order from this sponsor, you get a large set of images both pre-colored and images for you to color. I chose both styles to give variety to my design. My choice was the baseball boy. I merged the pieces I chose in the Craft Artist 2 program and added the text.

With Love

Crafty Sentiments is the sponsor of the current challenge at Simply Papercrafts. I chose With Love for my Design Team inspirational card. This is the perfect image for a birthday card.

I colored the image with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils. The colored image was cut out leaving a white edge and then adhered to plaid paper from the Baby Boy Collection produced by The Paper Studio. It was glued to a blue base card. Happy Birthday was stamped using a rubber stamp on white card stock abd adhered to green card stock. The birthday tag was added to the card.

Abbie With Cupcake by Conie Fong

Abbie was colored using Prismacolor Pencils and Prismacolor Blender Marker. Stickles Glitter Glue was used on the balloons and a metallic Gelly Roll Pen was used to further embellish this adorable image. She was cut out and adhered to several layers of assorted scrap paper from the Baby Girl Collection of The Paper Studio. She was then adhered to a base card. Isn't she a treasure, any little girl would love having for her birthday!

Conie Fong Art & Design is now accepting applications for its first Design Team. Samantha Aguilera, will be the DT Team leader, and coordinator of the Facebook Group Page. Conie would be able to focus on her art. The DT call will last for one month. Everyone from is welcome to apply.

Beach Vacation

The Theme for the current challenge at Mari Digis is anything goes & vacation. For my Design Team Reminder card I chose to use image B71 Holidays. Playing in the sand with my grandchildren and watching the cruise ships go by is my ideal vacation.

The image was colored using Faber-Castell Polychrromos Pencils and then cut out. I used card stock to cut the ship and waves with my Cricut Machine. The cartridge I used was Life is a Beach. Dark blue card stock was adhered to the basic card. The ship which was cut in layers was glued to the cut waves and then glued to the dark blue background. The digi image was placed on soft sticky pads and adhered to the ship and card, giving a 3D effect.

The current sponsor for A Snowflakes Promise Challenge is All dressed Up Stamps. since we are currently doing the seasons and it is February, Valentine's Day is the theme.

I chose Love Is to use for my inspirational Design Team card. This cute image was colored using Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and merged with an embossed background and text in the Craft Artist 2 program.

Practice, Practice, Practice

A Love Song for You by Ppinky Dolls

Dis Digital Stamps is sponsoring the current challenge at Crafting from the Heart. This sponsor has given the Design Team the choice to use any make. I chose to use Ppinky Dolls digi stamps for my cards.

I have been practicing with my Copic Markers for several days and these are my results. I hope you like them. Each is layered on several pieces of card stock and adhered to the base card. The sentiments were cut using my Cricut.

Spring Cleaning Freebie Friday

Here it is time for Freebie Friday again and artist Janice Collyer has a very special image for you...Spring Cleaning! The moment I saw her I knew she could be my Annie! Have you noticed the text at the bottom of my card?

 I colored this wonderful image with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and Derwent Inktense Pencils. The colored image was merged with pieces from digikits in the Craft artist 2 program. It was printed and adhered to a base card. A second hand colored image was printed and cut out. This second image was adhered to the card with soft pads, forming a 3D image.

Love Poster

The theme for the current challenge at Morgan's Artworld is For the Ladies. I chose to use the Love Poster, for my first design team inspirational card. The ribbons mixed with the floral and birds are so lovely. The design gave me plenty of places to show off my coloring skills using Derwent Coloursoft Pencils and Prismacolor Blender marker.

I put the colored image in the Craft Artist 2 program, where it was merged with an embossed background.

Sprite Delight III

Aurora Wings challenge #23

The Aurora Wings Challenge Blog is currently hosting a Sprite Challenge and offered this freebie Pineapple Sprite for use by those, who needed one.

I colored this little cutie using Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender Marker. This colorful fruitie was merged with a printed background (originally from My craft Studio) in Craft Artist 2. I used the program to add some background color and  bit of shadow.

I enjoy working with Aurora Wings digital images, they are a challenge all by themselves!

Beautiful Pansy

This wonderful image is called Pansy and was designed by Aurora Wings, the current sponsor of the Crafty Girlz challenge.

I colored Pansy with Faber-Casell Polychromos Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender Marker. A metallic Gelly Roll Pen was used for the earrings. The image was trimmed and mounted on colored card stock and adhered to a basic card.

Forget-Me-Not

I'm honored to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for the month of February, for the CC Digi Creations Challenge Blog. Aurora Wings is the current sponsor and the image I am using for my inspirational card is Forget-Me-Not.

The theme for this challenge is to use your favorite color combination. I'm really fortunate, my chosen image is Forget-Me-Not and Forget-Me-Not flowers are blue. Blue is my favorite color. I chose to use several shades of blue along with black and silver and  bit of grey.

I used Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils to color the image and blended the flowers with a Prismacolor Blender. The jewelry was  colored with a metallic Gelly Roll Pen.

These are the two cards I made for my sweet husband. The first one, I will be giving him on Monday for our 46th wedding anniversary and the second I'll give him the morning! Michael Jackson Heal the World

As a new member of the Mari Digis Design Team, I am honored to be here to remind you that there is a challenge currently in progress. My choice for this inspirational card is Michael Jackson. This talented singer/dancer is no longer with us, but the ballad "Heal the World" was a song Jackson was most proud of. He founded the Heal the World Foundation in 1992, to improve the conditions for children world wide.

Jackson is colored using Faber-Castell Polychromos and merged in the Craft Artist 2 program with various digikits and a stage image from Make it Crafty Stamps.

Xmas Vacation: St. Augustine

It's February and we are back to creating with the wonderful Mari Digis. The current theme for the challenge is anything goes or vacation. Christmas vacations in St. Augustine, Florida are very special.

 I chose A13 Sorria and I colored her using Faber-Castell Polychromos. I merged her with a background created by my husband Sandy Brooke, in the Craft Artist 2 program.

For this first freebie we are going with a Valentine/Love theme.*Coupon code required. The code can be found in the Scrapper's Delights Facebook Fan Page. The code is good through February 18, 2016.

Boy am I lucky, this is the best image for me...we celebrate our anniversary this month!
So this is how I designed my card for my wonderful husband Sandy. I used Derwent Inktense Pencils to color Cupid's hair and wings and Derwent Coloursoft Pencils to color the rest of the image. The colored image was placed in the Craft Artist 2 program and merged with pieces from a number of digikits. The composition was printed and adhered to a base card. I added adhesive pearls and a rose for embellishments.

Since it's not just Valentine's Day, for me...it's the day before my anniversary, I reserve the right to design two card with this lovely image.

So I cut out the original colored cupid image and layered her up using soft pads on a heart doily.  I covered a tall base card with a heart print scrapbook paper and adhered lace down the folded side. The Cuddlebug and some Sizzix die cuts and a couple of sticky pearls made the embellishing easy.
