Pirates in St. Augustine, Florida
This Cute Pirate designed by Stitchy Bear is standing by a shop in St. Augustine, Florida, that makes costumes for the many reenactors who participate in special events. If you are looking for pirates, St. Augustine, Florida is the place to go. There is a St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum to investigate and also The Treasure Hunt Adventure, where you cruise on board an actual pirate ship.
Here's that little guy again on an island with treasure! I used the Pirate digikit and merged him in Craft Artist 2
Stitchy Bear is the current sponsor of the Simply Papercraft Challenge. This image was colored in Prismacolor Pencil and some silver metallic Gelly Roll Pen. The image in the first card was merged with a color sketch of a shop by Sandy Brooke. This was done in the Craft Artist 2 program.
Come and share your talents with us at Simply Papercraft. Sponsored by Stitchy Bear.

Xmas in July!
I know it's a bit early for holiday cards, but when I see a cute image or come up with a super idea, I have to go with it. Besides, I'm going to be ready when the holidays are here!
Lacy Sunshine is the current sponsor of the Crafting from the Heart challenge. The image I chose for my design team card is the adorable Rory and Mickey Under the Mistletoe. It was colored in Prismacolor Pencil and Prismacolor Blender Marker (just the coats and the hat) The image was merged with the holly Xmas paper background from the Christmas 2013 digikit, in the Craft Artist 2 program. I used a red metallic Gelly Roll Pen for the red bow after printing the card.
For my second design team card, I chose Lacy Sunshine's Ultimate Craft Girl. she was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and merged with a background created from the Mother's Day 2011 digikit using the Craft Artist 2 Program.
I hope I have inspired you to enter the challenge at Crafting from the Heart, where anything goes. Sponsored by Lacy Sunshine.

A Lego Engineer
I chose the Lego Engineer image for this month's inspirational blog post at Cute as a Button. The image, designed by Francesca Lopez reminds me of a picture of my grandson, when he was still a toddler. We were very happy to see him playing with his legos, his dad always loved them as a child and it gave my husband a chance to get on the floor and play with our son. They built some really neat buildings and vehicles together! Of course Pop Pop gets down and plays with his grandson now too!
My husband Sandy and I enjoy watching our grandson grow up, but we aren't in any hurry for him to leave his childhood behind! This coming August our grandson will enter kindergarten!
The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender Pen was used in several spots.
I love to inspire others with quality crafts. I hope you will share your projects at Cute as a Button Stamps Facebook Page and Cute as a Button Stamps Facebook Group. There is a "Christmas in July" challenge you should enter at Cute as a Button.

Peppermint Patty
Peppermint Patty has a really bad sweet tooth. Artist Francesca Lopez designed her for Cute as a Button. Patty is so cute with all that wonderful hair. I'd be happy to have half as much on the top of my head!
I used Prismacolor Pencils and blender marker to color Peppermint Patty. I used the My Girl digikit for the blue background, frame and bow, merging the image with them in the Craft Artist 2 program.
I hope Peppermint Patty has inspired you to enter the #11 Facebook Contest and show your work.

A Christmas Bench Card
This is my first holiday card as a member of the A Snowflakes Promise Design Team. I used 4 separate images for this adorable card. All the images are from Bugaboo Stamps and are listed here:
Tree Bench, Ava Christmas Sitter, Christmas Brat Boy Ornament, Three Square Tree
The images were merged in the Craft Artist 2 program and printed. I colored the merged image with Prismacolor Pencils and Prismacolor Blender Marker (bench only) and metallic Gelly Roll Pens. The colored image was scanned back into the computer. I used the Craft Artist 2 program again and put a digikit background of sky behind the colored image and added the sentiment from another digi stamp. After printing the card, I went over the places I needed to with the metallic markers a second time.
I hope my card has inspired you to design a holiday card and take part in our holiday challenge at A Snowflakes Promise. Sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.

July Releases So cute!
The kids are adorable images by Cute as a Button and the color sketched Starlight Diner in Daytona Beach is by my husband Sandy. |
The new releases for the month of July by Cute as a Button artist Francesca Lopez are so adorable. It's so cool, that my suggestion for a couple of 1950s images are among the releases. It all came about when my husband Sandy and I had dinner at an authentic diner in St. Augustine, Florida. The diner's interior of red, black and white, the stools at the counter and booths across the isle are all the real thing! So I asked my husband Sandy for some color sketches.
I colored Poodle Skirt and Cool Richie with Prismacolor Pencils and merged them with the sketches using Craft Artist 2.
I hope my work has inspired you to share your projects at Cute as a Button Stamps Facebook Page and Cute as a Button Stamps Facebook Group. There is a "Christmas in July" challenge you should enter at Cute as a Button.

This lovely image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and merged with a digikit sky background in the Craft Artist 2 program.

Fairy Dancer
Morgan's Art World is the current sponsor of Simply Papercraft. I chose this little fairy dancer in tribute to my lovely dancing granddaughter. For one of her dances during her end of year recital, she was a beautiful Spring ballerina. She had several other numbers that evening in which she danced beautifully, but her graceful ballet moves truly made her glow on the stage.
This little fairy dancer was colored in Prismacolor Pencil and blender pen.The image was merged with a variety of pieces from digikits. This was done in the Craft Artist 2 program.

Winter Flurries: Xmas in July
Winter Flurries was my choice as a Design Team member for the Xmas in July challenge at Cute as a Button. It took a few steps to get the composition the way I wanted it, but it was fun ad successful too.
First, I printed the image large enough to get detail and colored everything except the coat. Then I scanned the piece into the computer and merged the image with fabric from a digikit in the Craft Artist 2 program. I printed the project cut it out and put it back in the computer merging it with the Santa rooftop scene from My Craft Studio. So what do you think, I hope it was worth those steps!

Kid's at Play
Karleigh Sue is our current sponsor of the Crafting with an Attitude Challenge. She creates some of the cutest kids. I chose to make one of my design team cards with Take Time to Smell the Flowers.
This little cutie is colored with Prismacolor Pencils. It was merged with my husband Sandy's color sketch of the Flagler Beach dunes in Florida, in the Craft Artist 2 program.
I made a second card using Karleigh Sue's Gone Fishing. I colored most of the image with Prismacolor Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender Pen, I used a Craft Artist 2 digikit to insert a print pattern in the boots. I used the Natural Landscapes digikit for the background again using the Craft Artist 2 program.
Come and join us a Crafting with an Attitude where anything goes. Sponsored by Karleigh Sue.
