Surfing USA

Surfing USA
I live 7 miles from Flagler Beach, Florida. Kids here learn to surf at an early age and enter surf competitions held each summer. Freida Zamba is the local international surf champion. So it wasn't a hard choice to choose Surfing USA by Francesca Lopez for Cute as a Button Stamps, for my design team card.

Surfing USA is an August Release digital stamp. I colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and merged it with a Flagler Beach color sketch by my husband Sandy. The program I used was Craft Artist 2.

I hope my work has inspired you to share your projects at Cute as a Button Stamps Facebook Group a contest is currently underway. There is a  challenge you should enter at Cute as a Button.

A Vintage Birthday Card

Lunagirl
Lunagirl has a wonderful collection of vintage style imagery. The collection is great for any number of vintage style projects including cards, scrapbooking and altered art. For my Crafting from the Heart design team card I chose the "Just Us Girls," collage sheet.

Don't you just love these 5 little girls in their colorized pretty dresses? The image of these little girls was trimmed and than decorated using the Lace Market digikit in the Craft Artist 2 program.

I hope my new vintage card will inspire you to take part in the current challenge at Crafting from the Heart, where anything goes. Sponsored by Lunagirl.

Apples in Snowy Manhattan (Won Best in a Scene!)

Here's another early Christmas in July card made using Patchy Penny's Quilted Apples an image designed by Lacy Sunshine. I received the image as a freebie and entered my card in the July 2015's FB challenge - Quilted or stitched.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and merged it with parts from the Manhattan Winter digikit in the craft Artist 2 program. I placed the scene on the fabric stitched background for the contest from the Oh Boy digikit using the Craft Artist 2 program.

Here's where I plan to try my luck at the following challenges:

Cute as a Button

Such a time as this
Today I am showing off two cards I made as part of the Cute as a Button Design Team. Artist Francesca Lopez creates wonderful images to be used by card-makers and scrapbook hobbyists. This challenge offers chances to earn new digital images by sharing your work with us.

This image is so beautiful that I decided to design two completely different cards as inspiration for the new challenge. You can find this stamp here: http://cute-as-a-button-stamps.myshopify.com/collections/digital-stamps/products/digital-digi-stamps-big-eyed-digis-img000209-such-a-time-as-this-by-francesca-lopez

For the first card I used a bit of Prismacolor Pencil and metallic Gelly Roll Pens to color this royal image. I cut it out and glued this image to a background printed from the Stately Home digikit in the Craft Artist 2 program. Then these layers were glued to the base card.

For the second card using the same image, I slightly colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils. The colored image was then merged with a background designed with parts from the Paper Wonderland digikit and parts of a variety of others in the Craft Artist 2 program.
