I took a trip back to St. Augustine to visit “Claire’s Collectibles Fun Rubber Stamps.” Of course I came home with several new stamps! Two of these work well together, as a matter of fact one goes into the other! Great Impressions number G416 is a lovely rose bush and fits over and centered on Great Impressions H212, a lace frame. It’s fun to color the rosebush with my Tombow markers and cut it out with an oval shape Spellbinders Nestability die and my Cuttlebug. The lace frame is stamped and embossed in white on pink card stock.
I cut around the frame leaving a bit of a pink rim. I then adhered the rose to the center of the frame with a little overlapping.
Next, I stamped the ballerina silhouette #GR1160 from Stampabilities, in black. Then, I cut the ballerina out leaving a white rim and I put foam dots on the back.
Real lace trim and flowers added to the mix make a lovely card evoking an earlier more innocent time.
By the way other stamps can be bought in the Great Impressions series, including one that stamps a lace table cloth.
I love changing my style when working with new stamps.
