A New Card Evoks an Earlier Time!

I took a trip back to St. Augustine to visit “Claire’s Collectibles Fun Rubber Stamps.” Of course I came home with several new stamps! Two of these work well together, as a matter of fact one goes into the other! Great Impressions number G416 is a lovely rose bush and fits over and centered on Great Impressions H212, a lace frame. It’s fun to color the rosebush with my Tombow markers and cut it out with an oval shape Spellbinders Nestability die and my Cuttlebug. The lace frame is stamped and embossed in white on pink card stock.

I cut around the frame leaving a bit of a pink rim. I then adhered the rose to the center of the frame with a little overlapping.

Next, I stamped the ballerina silhouette #GR1160 from Stampabilities, in black. Then, I cut the ballerina out leaving a white rim and I put foam dots on the back.

Real lace trim and flowers added to the mix make a lovely card evoking an earlier more innocent time.
By the way other stamps can be bought in the Great Impressions series, including one that stamps a lace table cloth.
I love changing my style when working with new stamps.

“Starform Stickers,” Make Classy Cards!

If you haven’t discovered “Starform Stickers,” you need to run to the nearest scrapbook store. These stickers are wonderful for cards, scrapbooks and stationary. They come in a variety of styles and colors.

After these lovely stickers are peeled away from the backing sheet and placed on your work, they can be colored using paint, crayon or felt tip pens. They do recommend “Glaze” markers to fill in the negative spaces, of the designs, because they offer and embossed look.
So far, I have placed the kimono stickers #1088 on various papers making each card a stylish art composition.

A really nice thing about these kimono stickers I that the detailed design inside the stickers lift to be placed on one card, while the negative design left can be trimmed around to used and glued to a second card.

So, instead of just two designs you have four in a package. There are so many amazing packages to choose from.

For more information on these great stickers, projects and techniques go to www.starform.com.
Watch for future posts documenting my experiences with other designs and styles of stickers from “Starform Stickers.”
