Baseball a Family Passion

Catching Flies

Deedees Digis
We are a baseball family. Our two boys played Little League and for school teams. We took them to Mets and Yankee games and even to spring training after we moved from New York to Florida. So, I was very happy to find a wonderful baseball image at Deedees Digis. It's part of a very nice bundle called Catching Flies. Deedees Digis is currently sponsoring the Creative Lady Birds Challenge.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. The colored images were merged with backgrounds from digikits in Craft Artist 2.

I do hope you will join us in the challenge over at Creative Lady Birds Challenge, as always it's "Anything Goes." Sponsored by  Deedee's Digis.

Good Morning, Sunshine!

I'm sending you some Florida sunshine. Rory Daisy Love is a Lacy Sunshine digital stamp and was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender Marker. The Dandelions digital stamp by Make it Crafty was also colored with Prismacolor Pencils. The two images were merged in the Craft Artist 2 program, where I added bits and pieces from a variety of digikits for the background.

I am entering this card in the Bi-weekly anything goes challenge at:

Lemonade Stand - A Happy Memory

Lemonade Stand

Deedee's Digis
The latest challenge at Simply Papercraft is sponsored by Deedee's Digis. I used Lemonade Stand with the little boy designed by this sponsor. It is part of a set which included the 2 lemon papers and also a little girl with a lemonade stand. I used Prismacolor Pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color the stand and boy. The stand and papers along with various bits and pieces were merged in Craft Artist 2.

This card brings back a happy memory of when my younger son went into the lemonade business. Cars pulled up to the curve in front of our house, when my son offered car hop service! He did very well. He also found a $10 bill under the table and went to the house of the person, who had dropped it, earning a reward. I guess food service was in his future even then. He runs a great restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida now!

I Dream of Jeannie!

Jeannie's visit to Arabia
While coloring Jeannie by Francesca Lopez for Cute as a Button, I remembered dressing like this in 2007, while performing in a local production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat." I had two costumes for that show. One covered me from head to toe as Joseph's Jewish traditional family. The other was that of an Arab belly dancer. I had a second dancer costume to wear to a masquerade party that same month. Here are a couple of fun pictures from those days.
A seam had popped on my costume and my friend Vicki was doing her best to fix it!
Yup, that's me at home in my belly dance costume!

I used Prismacolor Pencils and a Prismacolor Blender to color Jeannie. Jeannie and my husband's color sketched background were merged in the Craft Artist 2 program.

I hope my work has inspired you to work on your card and maybe reminded you of some fun memories!

The Perfect Beach Day!

This Beach Day digi stamp from Cute as a Button, is the perfect teen girl to explore your local shoreline or a vacation resort. She is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and a blender marker. She is merged into a color sketch by my husband Sandy, using the Craft artist 2 program.

Do You Croquet?

Do you remember playing croquet a a child? I played it. It's still a sport, which involves hitting plastic or wooden balls with a mallet through hoops called "wickets" here in the states, embedded in  a grass playing court. The game got started in the mid-19th century and today there are a number of adult croquet associations. This little girl is about to try her luck at the game! Chloe Croquet is a digital stamp by Cute as a Button artist Francesca Lopez.
This sweetie was colored using Prismacolor Pencils and odorless mineral spirits and merged with a background in Craft Artist 2.
Come and share your card at Cute as a Button.

Practice, Practice, Practice

I recently became a member of the Cute as a Button design team. I am honored to be on the team with artist Francesca Lopez. She creates lovely images.

The digital stamp I chose for my first card as a team member is "Dance Unto the Lord." It's the perfect stamp for me to use. My 14 year old granddaughter dances with the local dance studio competition team. This month she is busy with several competitions and we will be watching her perform at the studio's recital, always an exciting time.

Just like my granddaughter, "Dance Unto the Lord," believes in practice, practice, practice. She is colored in Prismacolor Pencils and Prismacolor Blender Marker. The hand colored images were merged with background pieces in the Craft Artist 2 program.

I hope my card has inspired you to participate in the challenges at Cute as a Button.
